Our Story

Not a highlight reel. Just the parts I keep coming back to.

The Beginning

Before you, I didn't know a person could feel like a place — somewhere you actually want to be, all the time, no matter what kind of day it was. Then I met you, and suddenly I understood every love song I used to skip.

The Early Days

Everything was new and slightly terrifying in the best way. Long messages at odd hours. Finding out we laugh at the same stupid things. Realising I was choosing you, over and over, without even thinking about it.

The Ordinary Days

Nobody warns you that the ordinary days are the ones you'll miss most — the ones with no plans, no occasion, just you next to me doing absolutely nothing important. Those became my favourite kind of day.

The Hard Days

We've had the days that weren't easy too. The ones where the world felt loud and heavy. And every single time, you were still there in the morning — which, it turns out, is the only proof I ever needed.

Us, holding on

The Little Rituals

The inside jokes nobody else finds funny. The way we've made ordinary places feel like ours. All the small, unremarkable things that would mean nothing to anyone else and mean everything to me.

Us, being ridiculous

Today

Right now, reading this. That's where the story is — still being written, still my favourite one, still with you in it.

Whatever Comes Next

I don't know exactly what it looks like. I just know I want you standing next to me when we find out.

Every chapter has had you in it. I'd like to keep it that way.

Here's to the rest of it, Amy.
